Have you hopped on Instagram Reels yet? I know it can sound intimidating – making short-form videos for social media. After all, you didn’t go into real estate to be a film producer. But as a realtor, you know how important marketing is for selling houses, as well as building your own brand! Instagram Reels is a great way to reach new audiences (at no cost). And, after a little practice, it really doesn’t take much time to create… especially when you take into consideration your return on investment in terms of audience reach. Here are three Reels ideas for realtors to help get you started⬇️

1. Copy What’s Currently Trending – My number one piece of advice on Instagram Reels is to take a look at what is already trending. Is it recipes? Champagne bottles popping? Dancing to a popular song? There is no need to reinvent the wheel here. Just look at what is already performing well, and create a short video with your own spin on the trending topic.

2. Buying and Selling Tips – Use reels to answer some of your FAQs or give advice on the current market. Giving free advice establishes you as a real estate expert and provides your audience with valuable tips. You are on social media to create a community, and great communities work together by serving each other.

3. Personal Branding and Behind the Scenes – Give your audience a peek at who you are by creating fun videos about yourself. Examples of these include topics like: “3 things you didn’t know about me” or “a day in the life of a realtor”. You can also take them behind the scenes of an open house or new listing. Give tips for staging an open house.

Your next client could be watching, just waiting to connect with an agent like you! Don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. Amazing things happen there. ✨
