Create a Problem and Solution
Here are just a few problems you can identify and give your potential clients a solution to:
- Understanding of the purchase process – From the best type of mortgages to steps to buying a home with bad credit, your clients can approach buying their first home with confidence by having a trained professional guide them through each step.
- Point Out Red Flags on a Property – Unless your client has a background in plumbing or home inspections, it’s very easy to miss red flags that need to be addressed to the seller right away. A Realtor’s primary job is to discover homes that fit a first-time homebuyer’s criteria, and they know exactly what to look for when viewing homes.
- Superior Negotiation Skills – The homebuying process almost always includes negotiations, and with the right Realtor (you!) by your client’s side, they can get a better deal on your dream home. A few expenses that can be negotiated down are closing costs, home warranty premiums, repair costs, and cosmetic updates to the home.
Show Up as an Authority
Share your value and knowledge by giving free advice. This includes buying and selling tips, home maintenance tips, decorating and staging tips, open house tips, etc. As a Realtor, you are a wealth of knowledge. Consistently give free value to your audience in order to position yourself as the expert you are!
